Famous for being one of the most visited tourist cities in the Mediterranean, Benidorm City Council has taken advantage of the remodeling works on Avenida del Mediterráneo, one of its main tourist and commercial routes, to turn it into a sustainable and multifunctional urban space. The project, construction management and comprehensive design have been led and executed by the architect Joaquín Alvado Bañon, ICCP Miguel Ángel Crespo Zaragoza and Guía Consultores – Civil & Architectural Engineering. This circular outdoor screen of more than 300 m2 of Led display surface and 22 meters high, is one of the largest in Europe.Benidorm City Council has relied on the Orthem – Emurtel (Etra Group) joint venture for its creation, which has collaborated with its partner Led Dream Group, responsible for the design, supply and implementation of Led technology for the execution and start-up of Tecnohito and the so-called Tecnoparada, a large digital marquee to improve the experience of citizens.Tecnohito will serve to show advertising actions -whose commercialization together with the information content management of the Tecnoparada is the responsibility of Exterior Plus-, institutional initiatives and live shows, among other content and events in the city.As far as technology is concerned, Tecnohito has a pixel pitch of 16 mm and 32 mm in outdoor Led curtain format. In addition, it has a fully adjustable brightness of up to 6,500 nits, for perfect viewing of content day and night. This innovative cylindrical digital system has had precise engineering work to create the support structure, made up of a modular Led curtain system that considerably reduces weight and does not present wind obstruction thanks to its high level of transparency (67%) , which allows greater visibility of the structure.Made to measure to meet all the requirements set by the Benidorm City Council, this modular outdoor Led screen has very specific specifications, such as that it does not have a gap between cabinets, so the Led panels fit perfectly making a perfect polygonal curve that respects the horizontal pixel pitch without leaving any gaps, allowing the content of the screen to be seen continuously.Another peculiarity is its light weight, 13Kg/m2, which represents a load release for the structural element, which together with the height and size were fundamental aspects given the complexity of its design.Tecnohito shows content from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., while at Tecnoparada it starts at 6:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m., with specific night content to avoid excessive lighting for the neighbors. These spaces generate about one and a half million hits a week.In addition, Tecnohito will act as a viewpoint, since it will be possible to visit and enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the city's Plaza de la Hispanidad, thus becoming a new tourist spot in Benidorm. As part of the comprehensive remodeling of the Avenida del Mediterráneo, other digital elements have been included in which Led technology is the protagonist, such as the Tecnoparada, a modern two-story digital marquee in which information content is displayed in real time of the city bus service (lines, schedules, incidents, etc.), as well as information of interest and even advertising. This digital urban marquee is made up of a spectacular rectangular-shaped Led curtain screen, with a size of 15.3×2 meters and a high-brightness pixel pitch of 16mm/32mm that captures the attention of passers-by and improves their experience. when they wait for the bus.Subscribe to our RSS feed and you won't miss a thing.© 2019 Digital AV Magazine - Underwood Communication SL
