From murals to sculptures, we love that there’s a lot of ways to appreciate art in Milwaukee’s great outdoors.
Mauricio Ramirez’s new 54-foot high Giannis Antetokounmpo mural has been brightening up Wisconsin Avenue since he finished it earlier this week. You can check out this mural at 600 E. Wisconsin Ave. or check out his upcoming Selena Quintanilla mural, which will honor the iconic singer, songwriter, spokesperson, model, actress and fashion designer. He announced that it is set to be completed by the end of summer.

This sculpture on Milwaukee’s Riverwalk is a fun, colorful nighttime display of LED lights on the side of the Riverside Theater, which is back after being rebuilt. Supported by Milwaukee Riverwalk District, it now has vivid illumination, and every night between 7 p.m. and midnight, a special one hour light show happens. Otherwise, the fish are lit in various sequences.
Putting art in nature, this 40-acre park has a lake and woodlands where you can walk the grounds as you choose. Geometric designs, figurative pieces and even animals are included, as well as sculptures by English artist, Henry Moore. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the gardens and view art inside the gallery.
This corridor in East Tosa, a series of six murals on North Avenue, adds personality to an already trendy part of town. NoMAD was unveiled in summer of 2019 and has been a popular place to view great art. The East Tosa area is home to great restaurants, too. So, grab a bite and then walk it off viewing these murals.
