The Intel version of this year’s Legion Slim 7 packs quite a few upgrades over the 2020 models. Users can now choose among the latest Alder Lake-H mobile processors coupled with RTX 3000 dGPUs from Nvidia, while the new 16-inch displays come with 2650 x 16500 Mini-LED options and up to 240 Hz refresh rates, plus the battery capacity and the cooling systems have also been updated.
Despite Team Blue launching their ARC Alchemist dGPUs this spring, the new Legion Slim 7i are not all-Intel similar to how the AMD-based models feature only Team Red components. Nevertheless, the Nvidia RTX 3000 dGPU options are powerful enough, considering the restrictions imposed with the slim chassis. Speaking of the chassis, this year’s models feature an anodized aluminum case with CNC metal trim that has a 16.9 mm profile and weighs as low as 2.05 kg (4.5 lbs). There is also an optional 1080p webcam.
