Madison Square Garden Entertainment has accumulated and birthed grand and famed venues across cities including New York’s Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes, The Beacon Theatre, and Tao Group Hospitality, making them one of the leaders in the live entertainment industry. Today, a new project is underway as it has begun to grace the Las Vegas skyline. Positioned just behind The Venetian, MSG Sphere, a colossal sphere-shaped structure and theater, is growing to be the Sin City’s go-to venue for live shows, set to be finished by 2023 and the sibling of the company’s proposed sphere in London.

‘MSG Sphere is a whole new medium and multisensory platform for artists,’ the company writes. The architecture in Las Vegas boasts a 20,000-capacity space inside – poised to become the world’s tallest spherical architecture on Earth with its 500 feet wide and 300 feet tall dimensions – 160,000 square feet of interior immersive display, spatialized audio, full 4D effects, and fully-brandable exosphere and atrium. Once the globe is finished, its exterior surface will double as a massive screen, bent to follow the shape of the globe and projecting light, videos, and possibly advertisements across the Las Vegas public and skyline.

‘At MSG Sphere, we are creating new immersive entertainment experiences on an unparalleled scale,’ the company writes. MSG Sphere in Las Vegas resembles the planning of its London counterpart as the latter has the idea of seating 17,500, or 21,500 combined seated and standing attendees. Its technologies are also assumed to have ‘the largest and highest resolution LED screen in the world, an adaptive acoustics system that delivers clear audio to each visitor, and a flooring system that will convey bass through the floor so that the audience can ‘feel’ the experience.’ (read the full article here)
