Barry X Ball, a New York sculptor whose work has been exhibited globally, has completed a 10-year project to design and build a custom art production facility centered in Brooklyn, including an outdoor digital display to showcase the 24/7 operations of the studio to passerby, according to a press release.

The sculptor installed a 49-inch LG 49XE4F outdoor display to show the ongoing operations when he noticed that pedestrians kept stopping to try to steal a peek at the artwork through the studio's windows. Utilizing cutting edge techniques, including digital modeling, 3D scanning and 3D printing, each piece produced can take up to 10,000 hours to complete, according to the release. The LG display's AR coating allows viewers to see operations clearly even in direct sunlight.

"I have a mix of still images and videos of my sculptures and their fabrication processes playing every minute of every day on the exterior display, resulting in significant increases in positive comments and questions from the busy cacophony of residents, visitors and local professionals who frequent Williamsburg/Greenpoint for jobs and activities related to creative design, art, film, photography and fashion," Ball said in the release. "It's wonderful to share my work and the work of my team with the local community in a more direct way, and it adds to the experience of visiting here without expressly advertising my name or sales — the art itself is the point."

Ball also partnered with LG to launch a line of NFT exhibits on LG OLED displays at Frieze Seoul 2022 during the premiere of LG's Art Lab.

LG offers an impressive range of displays to enable a wide variety of applications optimized for the key vertical markets. These displays are designed to meet the highest quality standard required in professional applications at lowest possible cost of ownership.
