Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is showcasing the future of education at ISTELive 2022 in New Orleans with its new interactive display—the 2022 Samsung Flip Pro (Model Name: WMB). Available in two large 75- and 85-inch models, the Flip Pro enables teachers to deliver dynamic lessons, spark active learning and inspire better learning outcomes for all students.

Teachers and students can bring bold new ideas to life instantly with Samsung’s best-in-class multi-touch display with a latency of just 26ms for an intuitive real-world writing and drawing experience. The Flip Pro ignites classroom engagement by making it easy to access and display multimedia content from any device with multiple connectivity options, including USB, HDMI, DP and OPS slots. Educators can also connect the display to any network and other devices through LAN port and wireless screen-mirroring. The Flip Pro introduces 3-in-1 USB-C connectivity with a single port for screen mirroring, touch control and external device charging (max. 65W).

Whether it’s used in a blended or in-person learning environment, the Flip Pro seamlessly connects teachers and students across devices to empower interactive, immersive learning. Ideal for schools with 1:1 technology, the SmartView+ feature allows up to 50 students to wirelessly connect their device, with a multi-view of up to six screens. The display is compatible with leading education software and apps, such as Google Classroom, Google Duo, Office 365 and MimioConnect, in addition to cloud storage services like Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. This makes it easy for teachers to do video conferencing, measure understanding, and share interactive lessons and assignments—creating classrooms where everyone can participate and excel. A newly added front control panel, brightness control sensors, and four front- and rear-facing speakers also enhance the overall teaching experience.

Along with the Flip Pro, Samsung will showcase its full line of Display Solutions designed to connect the entire campus. ISTELive attendees will discover Samsung’s outdoor LED signage solutions for applications like monument signs, Large Format Displays for use with cafeteria menu boards and campus-wide digital signage, and large LED signage for use in school gymnasiums. For schools with esports programs, Samsung will also have its Odyssey G7 gaming monitors on display.

Partner solutions will be highlighted as well, including ScoreVision’s scoreboard and game-time experience platform and HAVRION’s emergency alert solution. Attendees can also learn how Samsung is improving school-wide safety. Notably, Samsung’s MagicINFO software provides full remote device management and control of content published to all Samsung displays. In the event of an emergency, schools can use MagicINFO to centrally push alerts to their displays across campus to notify and direct students and staff to safety.

“We’re excited to return to ISTELive to showcase how educators can leverage brilliant displays,  exciting content, and connected technologies to reimagine learning to benefit all students. Our collaborative classroom tools offer teachers unlimited possibilities for how to re-engage students in the classroom and connect learners near and far. We’re working closely with schools nationwide to apply these technologies in creative ways that lead to better and safer learning environments,” said Chris Mertens, Vice President of US Sales, Display Division, Samsung Electronics America.

Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida, is an example of an innovative school using Samsung technology to engage learners and connect its entire campus. “We have discovered that many teachers were looking for collaborative experiences from technology and content driven media that could be delivered in a quick and meaningful manner to hold students’ interest,” said Alex Seage, Senior Director of Technology & Innovation at Christopher Columbus High School. “Samsung’s Flip interactive display solution has been scalable, adaptable and flexible from the get-go.”
