Ortwein Sign wins first place in the Freestanding Small Sign (0-50 sq. ft) in this year’s Mid-South Sign Association design contest.
Ortwein’s entry this year is a monument sign fabricated and designed for Taft Hwy Self Storage in Signal Mountain. This is Ortwein Sign’s third year in a row winning first place in a category prize, after winning for Wall Mounted/Channel Letters in 2021, and this is Ortwein Sign’s fifth Mid-South Sign Association Design Contest award overall, including the Mark Pridmore “Excellence in Design” Award for the Greg Wyatt Corvette design in 2021. “We went with this design because it’s really unique and thanks to the push through acrylic and the LED lighting it really stands out at night,” said Brian Murphy, the Ortwein Sales representative for the Taft Hwy Self Storage project. Ortwein Sign’s winning sign will now be voted on by attendees of Mid-South Sign Association’s annual convention SignConnexion to determine if it’ll be the winner for the overall design award the Mark Pridmore Excellence in Design Award. SignConnexion takes place July 27-31 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

As a former Red Bank mayor, I can attest to Ruth Jeno's integrity and dedication to public service. I assure you that the campaign smear tactics weren't contrived or condoned by her. I encourage everyone to vote for Ruth. I'm afraid that the ruthless attacks against her opponent will result in a win for her opponent. Howard Cotter (click for more)
