Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated his upcoming nuptials with his high school sweetheart and fiancée Brittany Matthews at a steakhouse in Las Vegas Thursday night.
Restaurant Carversteak, the new luxury steakhouse at Resorts World Las Vegas, shared photos of Mahomes and friends on the restaurant's patio overlooking the Las Vegas Strip.
Mahomes was with a group of 15 people, including Travis Kelce, Jerick McKinnon, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Orlando Brown Jr., and more.
A representative of Carversteak, who released official photos of the event, said the group toasted Mahomes with 100-year-old Louis XIII cognac. Mahomes was presented with an American Wagyu tomahawk rib chop with his name and Chiefs logo branded on the bone. The group also ate Wagyu cheesesteak bites, seared crab cakes, bone-in ribeye, striploin, mac and cheese gratin, and more.
After the meal, the group took the celebration to the resort's rooftop where they toasted the couple in front of a photo that lit up the side of Resort World Las Vegas on its 100,000 square-foot LED screen.

The celebration is a shift for Mahomes, who has spent recent days defending his fiancée. Matthews, an entrepreneur and part-owner of the KC Current has faced an inordinate amount of online criticism in recent weeks.
Last week, she was unduly mocked following an interaction the couple had at a Texas Tech basketball game. It appears Mahomes felt the need to call people out on Twitter afterward.
Man people are weird… love you babe @brittanylynne8 ❤️
A clip of Matthews talking to Mahomes courtside at the game quickly went viral. Users on Twitter appeared to pan Matthews simply for the facial reactions she displays in the clip.

This is not the first time Matthews has faced a barrage of online hate. Recently, she received blowback for showering champagne on fans after a Chiefs playoff win. As video of Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams players celebrating in a similar fashion continues to go viral, many are now calling out the double standard Matthews faced in the online trolling.
brittany matthews did this with better champagne and everyone got mad yeah. i'm going there tonight. https://t.co/OEVrftu0Cs
"It's been a pretty rough week over here," Matthews said in an Instagram post after the incident. "I greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate Kansas City and how y'all have gotten behind us and supported me so much. It means the absolute world to me."
The champagne video and subsequent online harassment led Matthews to partner with KC clothing company Charlie Hustle to raise money for an anti-bullying charity. The partnership created "Team Brittany" shirts that gave proceeds to Red Card KC. Matthews matched the donations that the shirts raised.
Mahomes and Matthews share a daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, who recently turned 1.
